The Bettie, Richards, Innis, Mason, Maximore, Darby and Clarke families regret to announce the death of Mr. Theophilus Totee Bettie, Deputy Governor for Economic Policy of the Central Bank of Liberia. This sad event occurred on November 8, 2013 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria while on official business. 

He leaves to mourn his loving wife of twenty five years Mrs. Enid Darby Bettie and his only child Ms. Masaweh M. Bettie, Sisters: Evelyn Bettie, Queenette Moore Willie, and Cynthia Bettie Benson (deceased), Brothers: John Bettie (deceased), Mack Bettie, Joe Lewis Bettie Jr. (deceased), Paye C. Bettie (deceased),  Harrison Bettie, Ynonjay Bettie, Roland Bettie, Yarvogar Bettie, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a host of other Relatives and Friends in Liberia, the United States of America and Abroad.
Theo faithfully and diligently served his country with passion and pride. He was a devoted husband, loving father and dependable friend. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
