Ma Kpannah departed this world to join our ancestors in the Heavenly abode on December 27, 2012 in Monrovia, Liberia. She lived in Mbabahun, Lofa County and in Monrovia, Liberia for many years. She visited the United States of America in the late 1990s to spend time with some of her children, and grandchildren in the states of Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.

LIPA Director General Is Dead

The Director General of the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), Professor Herold Jonathan Monger, is dead.
Professor Monger died on Friday, January 11, 2013 in Aflao, Ghana at about mid-day en route from Lome, Togo via Accra, Ghana where he had traveled.
Prior to his death, Professor Monger served as Director General of the Liberia Institute of Public Administration from December 2003 to January 2013. Full Story...

Liberian Diplomat Gets Final Home Going

Liberians living in France turned out to give their fallen country man, First Secretary/Consul at the Liberian Embassy in Paris, France, Mr. Albert Timothy Amet his final good bye at the Chapel of the Hospital,  Val de Grace in Paris, France.
Mr. Amet died on Friday, January 11, 2013 at about 6 am at the Hopital(Hospital) Val De Grace in Paris, after a period of illness. Full Story...

Shirley Dargbeh Davies

We regret to announce the passing of Shirley Dargbeh Davies, daughter of the late Anna Jakay Lewis of Monrovia Liberia. She resided in Baltimore Maryland since 1963. Senator Whitfield Is Dead

Barely three days after members of the 53rd Liberian Legislature returned from their annual agriculture break, a member of the first branch of  government has suddenly collapsed, and died in Monrovia.

Mrs. Paasewe, a teacher by profession, former City Mayor of Robertsport and former Acting Superintendent of Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia, leaves to mourn her children:  Justice Gladys Johnson (Rudolph), Boima Paasewe, J. Bai Paasewe, Jr. (Amanda), Ronate Paasewe, Vaanii Paasewe, Fr. C. Letombor Paasewe (Gloria), Mabasi Paasewe-Totimeh (George), Thomas Paasewe, Esther Johnson (Albert), Momolu Massaquoi, Mary Massaquoi, Hawa Jarsey, Cecelia Kanneh, Sally Massaquoi Daniels (George), James Kemokai and a host of other relatives, including grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grand children as well as other family members and friends in the U.S, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Australia,  and Dubai.

Mrs. Irene Paasewe was predeceased by her parents, Vaanii N. Jaleiba Sr., and Mabasi Sesay.  Her husband, J. Bai Paasewe, Sr. and nephew Dr. Elias L. Dib, predeceased her in 2002.

A memorial service over the remains of Mrs. Irene J. Paasewe, affectionately called I.J., teacher Irene, Aunty Irene, will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013.

Emmanuel Kolubahwu Mulbah.

The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has learned with profound sadness the death of Television, videographer and editor, Emmanuel Kolubahwu Mulbah.
The late Mulbah suddenly died on Saturday, January 5th at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital due to heart failure, according to report the PUL gathered.
The Union understands, Emmanuel collapsed while playing "Old-timers" football in Paynesville and was pronounced dead shortly upon arrival at the Catholic Hospital. Read More...

Thousands Mourn The Death Of Peter Ballah, Liberia’s Finest Comedian

Following the news of the death of Peter Ballah who was affectionately known as “Flomo”, thousands of Liberians and foreign residents were his admirers on a daily basis trooped  to the residence of  the fallen Liberian comedian to pay their last respect. The late Liberian Comedian was pronounced dead early this week at the Du Side Hospital in Firestone, a plantation operated by world giant producer of rubber, Firestone. Sylvanus Corker

Sylvanus Corker, age 64, faithful husband, loving father and grandfather passed away December 25th 2012, with his family by his side in Arlington, Virginia. He was born April 17th, 1948, in the town of Vezala in Lofa County, Liberia to Mr. Amala Kamara and Ms. Telegia Marwen. Sylvanus’s father passed away when he was six years old. Shortly thereafter, his uncle Mr. Henry K. Marvie took over his raising and upbringing.
